From the center of the large, roomy lobby between the two lounges, one sees the glass doors leading to the Sisterhood Sanctuary. Down the stairs, formed in triangular fashion, one moves through the doors into a charming and attractive little synagogue where approximately 250 people can find seats and worship. An American black walnut Ark occupies the center of the eastern wall and contains seven Torah scrolls. On either side of the pulpit stand great Menorot made of aluminum and designed by Mr. Wright. The unique furniture, also designed by him, is rich in appearance.
Mr. Wright designed the Ner Tamid(eternal light) which hangs over the Ark to portray God's presence. It, like God's spirit, is always present and lit. The Ner Tamid is delicately and beautifully wrought, a miniature representation of the tower of the Synagogue.
