Shabbat Celebration

Preschool

Every Friday morning at 10:00, the entire Preschool joins together to celebrate the joy and beauty of Shabbat. Infants through Pre-K meet in the Price Chapel to conduct their own service led by Rabbi Andrea Merow and the preschool staff.

The celebration includes:

  • Specially tailored Shabbat Service
  • Giving of Tzedakah (charity)
  • Singing, song, and chants
  • Hebrew enrichment though prayer and themed activities
  • Holiday celebrations when appropriate
  • Blessing of the wine and Challah
  • Eating Challah and sipping "wine"
  • Special story for Shabbat

Older and younger children learn together during this special time. As always, parents are invited to observe and participate in this special weekly event.
