Pre-K

Adorable

Age: About 4 to 5 years old
Classroom Size: 15

The Pre-K room prepares children for Kindergarten. This program is designed to ready children according to local school guidelines. Children engage in activities that help them prepare for more formalized learning. Teachers work together to ensure that each child will be ready for the challenges of school. Programs include pre-reading and reading as well as pre-writing and handwriting.

Children at this age have the opportunity to go on field trips outside of the school to further their learning experiences. They are also taught about broader subjects, such as Israel, Hebrew Enrichment and Mitzvah Malka. All staff members have been trained in 1st aid, infant CPR and fire safety. The staff to child ratio is 10 to 1 which is more than the state requirements.
