Beth Sholom Congregation is a warm and inclusive Jewish Community. We welcome interfaith families into our congregation. Non-Jewish spouses or partners are encouraged to participate fully in the life of our community. Although ritual honors in our services are limited to those who are Jewish, we warmly invite participation by non-Jewish family members in life cycle events. For example, at a Bar/Bat Mitzvah, both parents are invited to the bima to address and bless their child.
Beth Sholom is committed to supporting interfaith families in our congregation. Consult with one of our rabbis should you have any questions about the role of interfaith families in the congregation. In addition, special programs or services may be offered throughout the year to help non-Jewish family members participate and understand Judaism in a more meaningful way.
